Christmas Puja Day Two

Icon_photo photos 1 Icon_photo photos 2 Icon_video video

The second day of the three day Christmas Puja seminar was dedicated to the offering of the Christmas Puja at Her Holy Lotus Feet of Shri Mataji in Her Shri Jesus Mary form. Puja time was announced for six thirty but the collectivity was requested to be in mediation right at quarter to six to avoid any hurried movements before the puja.   The wonderful musical programme in the morning had done much of the cleansing in the collectivity. The collectivity had swelled up to approximately 13 thousand in the open air space in front of the main pandal. The evening wore a very serene look with a beautiful golden yellow sun set against the hilly background. The sky was clear and a very ambient temperature prevailed.

It was just the other day that Sahaja Yogis from across the globe had gathered here, in this very holy place, to offer their Puja at Her Holy Lotus Feet of Shri Mataji in Her Shri Mahalakshmi Form. Today we had gathered here again to invoke His powers of Shri Jesus in Her Shri Maha Vishnu Form. Every time the Christmas day reminds the yogis of the Ganapatipule days as Shri Maha Ganesha Himself awakens within us as Shri Jesus and yearns for our Divine Mother to accept the Puja. Nevertheless, the Nirmal Nagri seemed nothing less than the Ganapatipule experience with its earthy lustre and fragrance and the surrounding hillocks.

At quarter to six the Puja pandal was almost half filled as if it was gradually spreading its wings to accommodate the larger collectivity with their beautiful and fragrant attires as they kept on pouring in. The little Ganeshas were seen in playful vigour dressed beautifully, while the early-comer adults tried to adjust themselves, either by going in front or occupying a comfortable place close by the four giant projection screens spanning the ground. The interior decoration of the stage had the ornate art of palatial architecture with the centre attraction being the throne of Shri Mataji.

At half past six meditation started with the three Mahamantras and bhajans by musical choir. Kaise Phuhar Chali, Ek Gauri ke Dulare…Ek Radhaji ke Pyare... - the two bhajans were enough to set the collectivity in the right meditative state to go into the mediation with the screening of the 2001 Christmas Puja message of H.H. Shri Mataji in Ganapatipule, India. It seemed just as if Shri Mataji was physically present as the collectivity listened to Her powerful messages.

The transcript of this talk is provided after this article.

The visual effect and the messages were very powerful and full of vibrations. This was accentuated with the considerable dropping down of temperature transforming the evening with a chilling experience before Her holy arrival of Shri Mataji. Once again the musical choir resumed with bhajans Zor Se Bolo Dhire Bolo Chahey Maan he Maan mein Bolo…, Shri Jagadambe Aie Rey Meri Nirmal Ma…. At this point the announcement came up from the stage to switch over to the Shehnai tune to welcome Her Holiness Shri Mataji in Nirmal Nagari as the message of Her arrival flowed in. It was almost at half past eight that Swagata Agata Swagatam filled the air and the collectivity stood up to join the chorus to welcome our most beloved Mother on the stage.
An extraordinary flow of vibrations filled the entire milieu. The curtains were drawn apart revealing before the collectivity the most spectacular sight that the yogis were yearning for so long to view.  The collectivity was blessed to witness the Devi with Her divine grace seated on Her beautifully decorated throne. Those were breathless moments as if everything froze at that point of time. Mother looked so cheerful that every heart felt that Mother will enlighten Her children like yester years with Her divine message again. The giant projection screens very well projected the close up scenes of Her Divine Gestures and the radiant shinning face of Mother. It was so vibrant, so powerful, yet so compassionate, subtly expressed with a child-like grace in Our Mother. It was indeed Her Shri Maha Ganesha form that was before us. Could all that be just an illusion…or it was just Mahamaya in Her actual form. Expressions drop out to describe the moment. It was like the God experience….it was like the direct impact of the oceanic expansion of the Love from within for seeking to be ‘being one’ with God. The sudden insight reflected a childlike wonder, ecstatic exaltation above bodily and personal existence, sublimed in a timeless frame within a nameless expression.

It is difficult to reconstruct those precious moments of being ‘face to face with God’. “It was like a direct impact of an intangible perception coupled with high emotion and deep realization of what appears to be the ultimate Truth. As if it was ripping away the veil of illusion, revealing the Nirmal state of our existence without any emotional, mental or belief filters. The ultimate outcome was just enjoyment of the bliss of the Nirmal tattwa…the pure awareness. It could only be the inevitable outcome of a natural process soaked in emotions of joy, assurance and salvation. It was as if the Cosmos was becoming a living presence and not an emotional reaction decorated with expression of words to seek that unique experience of meeting God within.

Suddenly, the silence, the rapport that was built between Mother and the children, was interrupted with the announcement for the Puja. Shri Ganesha was invoked by children aged between 8 to 12 years by their offering flowers at Her Holy Lotus Feet. Little Ganeshas wearing Santa caps were seen rushing from everywhere around the stage to attend to the most awaited moments of their lives. The choir started with the bhajan seeking permission for Puja “…Pujan ka Adikar Dijiye Shri AdiShakti …Vinati Suniye…(song composed by Mother Herself)”and then followed by the recitation of the Shri Ganesha arthvashirsham. The puja continued with many more powerful bhajans like Jai Jagadambe…Jai Ganeshji ki Ma Ambe…Jago Savera …. Then it was the time for the shringar bhajans with Namoh Namoh Maria and Jagi Tarak Janma while seven married ladies did the Shringar and Kalpana didi guided and helped coronate the Devi in Her Shri Jesus Mary Form. As the Shringar concluded with Vishwa Vandita bhajan the World Council coordinators and India Trust members were called for performing the Aarti. The Aarti and the Maha Mantras were recited as the puja concluded at a quarter to ten.A group of yogis dressed as Santas brought a huge six tier beautifully decorated white Christmas cake. This was blessed cut by our most beloved Mother for Her children. Sir CP stood up and offered a piece of the cake to Shri Mataji. It was then the time for offering the international gifts at Her Holy Lotus Feet of Shri Mataji. The International gifts flowed like showers of love from Finland, Italy, Swaziland (Africa), Germany, SriLanka, Cameroon, Estonia, Ukraine, Singapore, Brazil, Thailand, Malaysia, Uruguay, Argentina, Nepal, Peru, Kuwait, Bahrain, Fiji, Muscat, Oman, Spain, Romania, Bulgaria, Austria, Philippines, Poland, Belgium, Macedonia, Bulgaria, USA, France, Iceland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, South Africa, Bhutan, Columbia, Greece, New Zealand, Taiwan. Generous donations for Chhindwara Project along with gifts poured in from Turkey, Kazakhstan, Australia, Israel, UAE, UK, Hong Kong, China, Iran and Canada. Gifts from the little angels of the Nirmal Prem NGO project at Greater Noida, ISPS, Dharmshala and the state of West Bengal from India added to the collective offering of the gifts at Her Holy Lotus Feet.It was after a long pause that our beloved Pappaji, Sir CP stood up to address the collectivity with very powerful words and expressions that touched all our hearts. It was indeed a part of the resolution taken by the collective on behalf of the world Sahaja collective and vowed before our most Holy Mother. Sir CP began with these words…“May I wish you all a very happy Christmas and a very happy New Year! He said you know when a new year comes every one makes new resolutions every time. People have many wishes to make that they expect to be fulfilled. Continuing in his flawless diction Sir CP said “he has a wish to make that She (Shri Mataji) should continue to be presiding here like this and we should be sitting here. And accompanying this wish is the need of the world for Her to spread the love and the message to be one. He further said, that if this world created by Her becomes one, it will be the greatest of the wishes. Then like a father he assured and desired for us to take a strong resolution that Shri Mataji has played Her role and whose turn should it be now? The entire collectivity after a pause affirmed -“Ours” with the hands raised spontaneously. Pappaji repeated, “Yes, indeed it is now your turn”. “Do you promise that”? “I stood up just to get that promise from you on this New Year”The curtains were drawn at quarter to eleven as the collectivity stood up with freezing chilliness in the air. The coolness spoke for itself of the level of vibrations that rose at that moment. Mother in Her Shri Jesus Form blessed us on behalf of the entire collectivity of the world with all fortunes for the years to come. Thank You Mother for You accepted our prayers and the Christmas Puja at Your Holy Lotus Feet.
Mother, we promise you on behalf of the world collectivity that we shall abide by the resolution we just now made to Sir CP on spreading Your message of Love and taking Realization to the farthest corner of the world by Your blessings. Please make us Your effective instruments to carry forward our desire as You are the Doer and the Enjoyer.

Transcript of 2001 Christmas Puja message of Shri Mataji – video played before today’s Puja

Speaking on the essence of Shri Christ Shri Mataji reminded us “Christ was the embodiment of Param Chaitanya, He was Omkara.  He was Shri Ganesha.  And those who follow Him have to be very different people.  But it always happens in every religion that they go at random into the opposite direction, completely opposite”. Further on detachment and the purpose of His advent, Shri Mataji explained “The essence of Christ’s life was detachment and sacrifice.  For a person who is detached, there is nothing like sacrifice.  He sees his life as just a drama.  Such a great personality came on this earth and created this so-called ‘Christian’ religion, which has gone into wars, all kinds of hypocritical things, and now the people are discovering about it.  He stood for Truth and Christians don’t know what the Truth is.  The Truth is that you are the Spirit and you have to become the Spirit.  He is the One who has talked about second birth, of Realisation. But they have forgotten about what He said, what they have to achieve”.

Drawing the line between the subject of religion and the misunderstanding of the messages of the prophets who incarnated upon earth to salvage the humanity, Shri Mataji said “There are two important things in the life of Mohammed Saab.  The first one is called as Meraj which is nothing but the awakening of the Kundalini, absolutely clearly.  And the second one He has talked about is jihad.  Jihad means killing your bad things, killing your bad nature, killing all the shad-ripu within you.  It doesn’t mean that you become a Muslim and kill yourself.  It’s the stupidest thing to do!  Did you become Mussalman just to kill yourself and commit suicide?  Calling it as a ritual, they are saying that by this you’ll go to jannat , into the heavens.  How can you know?  As Muslims, they are not religious, not at all.  And then by killing these sinful people, how will you go to the heavens where you will have enjoyment of jannat”?
Further, talking on the Maryadas and the Protocols Mother thus spoke, “And in these modern times, as we see, people have crossed all the maryadas, all the things of a religion.  Before, I went to America; I was surprised how they have forgotten about morality.  …….

Speaking on women , the rituals and  ill-treatment on them She reminded us the dharmas that men need to imbibe. She referred a few instances to emphasis the need to understand the basic essence of having a dharmic life, may it be any religion. Shri Mataji thus spoke, “And so many people in India, especially in the North, have taken to Islamic culture and they really ill-treat women in the North.  I was married in the North and I know how they have been unkind to women.  So North of India is already contaminated by this, and the South is contaminated by the fanatic Hindus.  All kinds of rituals, worse type, bestowed upon only on women, are followed in the South.  They will shave the head of a woman, make her go round a temple, pour water on her and she is just tumbling round, she is not walking, and they go on putting water on her – I have seen it myself.  We have sati, is the killing of the women after the death of their husband.  This is something no-one can understand.  Why put all the dharma on women, why not on the men?

On the subject of Christ and Realization Shri Mataji cited a very interesting example as to how Shri Jesus was Himself ‘Realization’. “They have misused the religion for all kinds of bad things.  Like in England if somebody dies, they must have champagne.  When they go for the burial they must have champagne.  I was surprised, ‘How is it they are going to have champagne for this?’  And how is it, out of religion, you say, all their priests also drink, no question.  One priest came to Sahaja Yoga, I was very happy.  But he said, “I’ll come to Sahaja, but I will not give up drinking.”  I said “Why?”  “Because it’s written in the Bible, that you must drink.”  “Achchha!  I didn’t know!  How could it be?  How could Christ say that you should drink?  He was not only a Realised Self, but He was Realisation himself!”  He said, “He has said it.  Whatever You may say, He has said it.”  “Where?”  He said, “He went to one wedding,”  “All right.”  “In that wedding, He made wine for the people.”  “But He did not. He went there and in such a short time He just put his hand in the water and it started tasting like grape juice.  And grape juice has the same word as ‘wine’ in Hebrew language.”  I said, “I can do that”.  That doesn’t mean I like people to drink.  I mean, who can say such a nonsense!  It is awareness, it is important, chetana, is important.  And if you spoil your awareness, how can you be Sahaja Yogis? It was impossible to tell them that you cannot drink.  But drinking, even in India, has become very common.  It is all against Christianity, it’s against Hinduism, against Islam.

In the message Shri Mataji narrates a beautiful incidence where Shri Jesus comes to India and encounters Shalivahana King in Kashmir. Speaking on the Nirmala Tattwa She says, “You have to be pure people.  ‘Nirmala Tattwam’ you must have.  That’s what it is.  Also I told you a story about Shalivahana who met Christ in Kashmir.  And he asked Christ about His name and His country.  He says, “I come from a country where people have malecch.”  Malecch means those who have a desire for mala, for filth.  So he told Him, “Why don’t You go and teach them Nirmala Tattwa?”  Shalivahana said.  That is what Nirmala Tattwam you have got, which purifies, which cleanses you, which gives you joy, happiness and the Truth.  This is what you should ask for.  Otherwise it is all darkness, you don’t see the light.  Whether you are Christian, Hindu, Muslim, anyone, you cannot see light of Truth – and you have to take the light of Truth”.

Touching upon various aspects of all religion and the mission of these incarnations, Shri Mataji reminded us of Sikhism and its teaching and the paradox that the present people have on understanding God in their own terms.  She says “We have also Sikh community.  They came to Sahaja, but they said, “We cannot worship Goddess.”  I said “Why?”  Surprised at it, because Shri Guru Nanak has talked about the Goddess, the Devi.  The first sentence of His book is Adya.  Adya is the Adi Shakti.  And for this, if the Sikhs stupidly say, then why do they have a ‘Chandi’-‘garh’.  That’s so stupid also, nothing to really compare.

Speaking on powers that we must imbibe after accepting Sahaja Yoga and what Realization means to us Shri Mataji said. “Now, you have to understand, have you given up all that nonsense or not in your lives or are you all sticking on to the same?  That is very important.  As long as you are sticking on to the same, there will be a problem.  Sahaja Yoga does so much.  I was surprised, in America there are 300 Sahaja Yogis – nothing happened to them!  Some were on the tower, some were on the street, all of them were there and nothing has happened to them!  Some of them said that, “Somebody told us inside…” (applause) “told us inside that, ‘Run away!’ and we started running in the other direction.”  Some were delayed; I don’t know how, all these three hundreds.  But such a devil of these people who are thinking of destroying the whole world are coming round. This is the reason I went to America.  And I told them that this war will be over before Diwali, and it ended.  “Before Diwali this war will be over” and it ended.  What a stupid thing to think that they can destroy the creation of God like this!  Who are they?  How have they got the right to destroy the world!  But that is what is a human nonsense”.Coming back to spirituality, Shri Mataji continued, “Christ came on this earth, He worked for a long time and He was to be crucified, so He got crucified.  But crucifixion is not our glory.  Our glory is His resurrection.  That He was resurrected, no doubt.  To say that it’s not possible and all that – Who are you to say that?  What do you know about spirituality?  What do you know what can happen to a person who is spiritual, spiritually equipped, what can work out in Him.  Whatever we know about human beings, we try to draw conclusions which are all wrong”.Speaking on the miracles and the happenings in Sahaja Yoga Shri Mataji urged the Sahaja yogis to compile them. “See in your life.  There are so many miracles in the lives of Sahaja Yogis and I told somebody that, “You’d better compile them.”  So he said, “Within one month all those letters have come up to my head.”  In one month!  So I said, “Forget it, don’t write!” It’s not one or two; from all over the world people are writing”.On spreading Sahaja Yoga and the message of Realization, Shri Mataji again says, “But those who are intellectuals are very difficult.  It is impossible to put this into their heads.  So whatever is possible, we have to do our maximum.  Put our attention to people who want it.  Now in India it has gone to jails, it has gone into schools and everywhere.  And somebody told Me the other day that even in a Catholic church they have started taking to Sahaja Yoga – I don’t know what’s wrong in their heads and how they have managed!  But that’s how Sahaja Yoga is spreading. But it has to spread much more!  You have to, all of you, individually, should go around and work it out.  And talk about it.  But Sahaja Yogis are a little shy….Shri Mataji then blesses the Sahaja Yogis and urges us to salvage humanity without much worrying about own individual issues. “I hope you all people understand the importance of spreading Sahaja Yoga.  If you don’t do that, you are absolutely useless.  The greatest thing for Me, as you have so many lights here, we should have many more Sahaja Yogis all over the world, if you want to change this world and if you want to avoid all the trials and turbulations of the useless life they are leading – you have to save them!  You have to salvage them.  That’s your job, that’s what you have to ‘pay’ for Sahaja Yoga.  Not for yourself, not for yourself.  Don’t get worried about yourself”.Speaking on Marriage and maryadas Shri Mataji warned us, “Now, there’s another kind of letters I get, that they want to marry – alright.  There are many girls who claim that, “We have been applying for four years, we couldn’t get married.”  Firstly you must know, out of proportion women are there.  They are very good.  Say, if there are forty boys, there would be at least one hundred and twenty, or maybe even one hundred and fifty girls.  So now, to whom should we marry those girls?  Just think of it.  But they write letters of complaint that, “We have applied four times.”  We can’t.  We can’t help it.  So you go outside and marry anywhere you feel like.  Or else you wait and see and dedicate your life to Sahaja Yoga.  It’s a very difficult thing when they go on complaining that, “I should be married, and I haven’t got married as yet.”Marriage was never our idea.  But then we had to allow marriages.  And now it has become the main issue with everyone.  Either they are not married; if they are married they are not happy; if they are divorced, they must be married again ...  All sorts of things, complications, for which I am not prepared.  Sahaja Yoga is not for that!  If your marriage is not successful, it is not My job.  And if this goes on, we will have to stop marriages.
I don’t want you to write all these things to Me.  It shows how poor you are in Sahaja Yoga.  Why not write to me how many people you have given Realisation.  That would make me happy.  Instead of complaining about your wife and ...  – that’s not My concern.  As it came, we have married you.  If you cannot carry on, it’s your duty…

What is most important is, that ‘How many people you give Realisation’.  That is your life.  If a lotus is there, it will open.  But it must give fragrance – even the lotus has a responsibility.  Then what about you people?  I’m not saying you get crucified like Christ, no.  I said you enjoy your life – you have peace and stability, balance.  But, at the same time, you have to spread Sahaja Yoga.  This is what is your job now.  Your job is not important; only this is important, how many people you give Realisation”.

Jai shri Mataji!

A very good narration indeed. The vibrations were so powerful in the puja. The place is like heaven. Some how I felt the place has got magnetic attraction and we didn't feel like leaving. Full of vibrations.

It was not sure whether I could go for the puja or not till the last moment and finally it worked out for me to be with Godess and the whole world's collectivity to realize and experience once again that we are all cells in the body Adishakti and there is no individual existence leave alone our petty problems related to worldly affairs.

So much lasting experience and recollection of the Chsitmas Puja attended by me in 2001 at Ganapatipuja which my first Sakar puja and also a very deep experience.

Thank you Shri Mataji! for every thing you have given us. Let this instrument be only yours and be used in spreading Sahajayoga in the entire universe.

My heart began expanding with the earliest set of photos and opened wider with each succeeding burst of visual vibrations, pulsating the viratangana of my surrounding universe! You Indian yogis created a stage finally fit for The Goddess of All Goddesses, with the palace of color and lights, enhancing Her Beautiful Countenance to a greater degree than ever before.  The music, the colorful costumes and vibrant faces everywhere are indeed a testimony to Her Gift to Humanity of Eternal Enlightenment.  Appreciation for your sharing of these events in photos, words, and videos is boundless.  What joy and bliss to be your sister.  love, Carolyn

JAI SHRI MATAJI

I missed physically being at the Christmas Puja (2006). And none from my immediate family could make it this time. However the joy of being connected to Mother and other Sahajis is always there.

Thanks to ShriMataji.org team who took so much care to put the details of the Christmas Puja and the wonderful pictures of the collectivity and Mother with Papaji. It was indeed a good read and the feeling of being with Divine was compensated. Praying to Mother to make arrangements for my collective being in Mother's "sakshat" presence.
