On Friday Sept 14, hundreds of yogis from around the world arrived and settled in for the first 'official' night at the Balmoral country property in New South Wales to celebrate Shri Ganesha Puja, 2007.

The property is located around an hour and a half drive south of Sydney and has recently undergone a number of improvements and additions to make it more comfortable for attending yogis.

It was difficult to move from one area to another as everyone passing was enjoying the delight of seeing old friends from all over the planet, with obligatory hugs and a quick catch on one another's news.

There was also the sharing of joy that Our Holy Mother had chosen the perfect partners for those surrendering to marriage and the wonderful skill She had again shown with combinations of different complimentary personalities and vibrations.

Apart from the auspiciousness of an opportunity to seek and receive Shri Ganesha's blessings for a marriage, there is also an appreciation of receiving those blessings in His land of Australia and that Shri Mataji has taken such a 'hands on' personal approach in choosing the perfect partners for everyone.

Apart from the wonderful joy of meeting all the brothers and sisters, Shri Vishnu Maya was expressing Her delight at the occasion by whipping up a lot of strong wind designed to completely clear all the hearts in preparation of the upcoming blessing of the puja and marriages.

After partaking of a wonderful evening meal the yogis assembled back into the newly extended Meditation Hall to enjoy the wide variety of entertainment on offer.

The items presented ranged for heartfelt songs of praise to Shri Mataji to new original compositions dedicated to Her. There were incredibly beautiful Indian dance segments by various collectives and artists, a number of delightful Chinese Fan dances, an informative presentation on Michael Angelo's depiction of knowledge way beyond the comprehensive of those around him at the time. The Yuva Shakti provided hilarious comedy routines and there were lots of wonderful bajhans from Music of Joy and may other beautiful presentations.

The program continued until the early hours of the morning as mothers with children patiently waited for everyone to leave so they could rest in the warmer hall.


Shri Mother's family members were very gracious and imparted their obvious joy to everyone as they left later in the evening. Sadhana Did took quite some time to make her way through the crowd of well wishers, stopping to hug and give and receive expressions of love from her large extended Sahaja family.

The evening was interspersed with ongoing announcements of engagements to numerous rousing cheers from friends of those chosen. Ladies and some men spent many hours getting their hands decorated with the intricate art of mehandi in preparation for the marriages the following day.

The sight of ladies holding their hands in front of them as their mehandi designs dried with their new husbands nearby enjoying their vibrations provided another element to a most delightful evening.
