Uluru Awakenings!

Icon_photo photos

About 90 Sahaja Yogis from 24 different countries pay homage to Australia’s iconic heartland... Uluru (Ayers Rock), the abode of Shri Ganesha.

Having lost my watch right upon arrival at Uluru -- it vanished just after I had adjusted it to central Australia’s local time--, I knew from the outset that I was in for an

extremely special adventure; one that would take me beyond the boundaries of time, one timeless, eternal, sublime… And the five-day Uluru tour, organized as a side event of the Ganesha Puja 2007 and attended by over 90 yogis from different parts of the world, was just that ; a magical encounter with Australia’s most auspicious Red Centre and a mystical initiation to Tjukurpa, Aboriginal’s immortal religious heritage, loosely translated as Dreamtime and referring to the past, present and future.

From sunset and sunrise tours to spectacular Kata Tjuta walks through the Valley of the Winds, from breathtaking Rim Walks on the Kings Canyon to unforgettable Sounds of Silence sumptuous dinner under the sparkling Milky Way, the Uluru Tour had it all. And much more, including unexpected and emotional encounter with Bob Rindell, a Senior Aborigine whose words of wisdom and unconditional love melt everyone’s heart; impromptu meditations in communion with the sacredness of the surrounding nature; not to mention about a public programme attended by about 12 new comers.

The yogis on the tour were greatly honoured by the presence of Sadhana Didi and Uncle Rommel, who shared many of those unforgettable moments and, alike all of us, marvelled at the sublime and most elevating nature of this soil.

Find out more about this extraordinary trip in the coming days as several yogis will reflect upon their experience. Meanwhile, glimpse at the beauty of this ancient landscape with the many photographs contributed by Dimitry from Russia.

Jai Shri Mataji !

Thanks for your kind contribution about Shri Ganesha Rock.

Our dear Sister, Sadhana Didi's company with you all is also an added blessings.

However, we expect some more news on your marvelous visit.

Hi dear brothers and sisters,  We had a lovely program in Sydney last night where the yogis spoke of their experiences at Uluru.  They mentioned meeting a remarkable aboriginal man, Bob Randall.  I wanted to let everyone know that this man has produced a beautiful film about aboriginal society before the coming of the Europeans.  It is called Kanyini, and can be accessed and ordered through the website www.kanyini.com
