Almost immediately after arriving at the Puja venue on the evening of 18th March 2008 Shri Mataji desired to go to Her Birth Place in Chhindwara town, a few kilometres away from the venue.
The convoy of vehicles that had arrived from Nagpur and had just parked in the campus of 'Nirmal Sthaan' - Shri Mataji's home in the Puja premises was asked to turn around, much to their surprise. Caretakers of the Birth Place, now popular as the 'Shrine' amongst the people of Chhindwara, were informed of  Mother's impending visit and the convoy sped off to the shrine.

Shri Mataji arrived at the shrine and inaugurated it along with Sir C.P. who cut the ribbon. Shri Mataji went to the room where She was born. The room now has a huge photo of Shri Mataji as Shri Dhanavantri. She laughed and made everyone laugh on noticing her photo as a child put up there along with the Shri Dhanavantri photograph. Aarti was performed to Her in the room of Her birth. Shri Mataji then went around the house observing how it had been restored to its original glory by Sahaja Yogis and Yoginis in a very short time. Shri Mataji then exited the house from behind to go to the new building built there as meditation hall for the yogis who would come to visit the shrine. She halted before the building and was shown a parrot and a monkey that were kept in the house as rememberances to the same bird and animal that were present there when She was a child.
The Sahaja Yogis and Yoginis of Chhindwara were called inside the meditation hall. Not only Sir C.P. but the whole family of Shri Mataji present along with Her addressed them and expressed how happy She and they were to be there and expressed their gratitude on the enormous work done to restore the shrine. Shri Mataji cut a cake that said 'Welcome' on it and then went back to the Puja venue after a visit of around an hour and a half to the Shrine.
