Yuva Shakti qawwali

It all started with the Yuva Shakti making pizzas. About 25 of them from all over the world gathered at the pizza oven at Shri Mataji’s house and made the most goreous and imaginative combinations for all the aunties and uncles. Their laughter and joy floated up into the air and into Shri Mataji’s room.

Their pizzas were offered to Shri Mataji and She thoroughly enjoyed them. Within the hour Shri Mataji had called for Qawalli’s and there was a hectic 10 minutes while everyone gathered. It was clear though, that this was the night of the Yuva Shakti, their moment to shine brightly before Shri Mataji and express their full love for Her.

All the Yuva Shakti poured into the great hall, bringing with them instruments. The aunties and uncles sat to the sides giving their full support. They began with a Qwaali called “Meri Mata Ka Karam” (The Compassion of my Mother).

This was followed by the 108 names of Shri Mataji “Jago Savera” sung by Mukhiram of Noida who started everyone off and was later joined by the other musicians playing table and harmonium. The Yuvas joined in with “Jai Mataji” singing with such gusto and power.

Shri Mataji enjoyed the music and Her face shone as She smiled at everyone.

Everyone then did namaska and left the hall. The Yuva Shakti continued to sing and dance outside enjoying every moment until the small hours of the morning.
