Laxmi Puja at Prathistan

21st of Oct 06 was the first day of the two day Diwali Puja program in Pune. A huge gathering of around ten thousand Sahaja Yogis and Yoginis had already gathered at Nirmal Nagari, our very own venue for the Puja, and hundreds more were continuously trooping in. This day was also the occasion of Laxmi Puja, a festival in the series of festivals before Diwali, when the Devi Laxmi (Goddess of Wealth) is worshipped in Indian households by offering Her the valuables of the Home. This festival realized its true meaning and achieved fulfillment when Laxmi Puja offering by Sahaja Yogis and Yoginis was accepted by Shri Mataji at Her abode Prathisthan in Pune at 5 p.m. on the 21st of Oct 06.

Shri Mataji, appearing very beautiful in a pink sari and radiating good health, came out from Her bedroom into a Hall near the room and got seated on a sofa with Sir C.P. on Her right.

A garland was placed at Her Holy Lotus Feet of Shri Mataji.

A Diwali greeting card was presented to Shri Mataji and Sir C.P. by Pugalia ji on behalf of all Sahaja Yogis and Sahaja Yoginis. They both saw the card which had a beautifully worded greeting for them.

A photo chart was presented to Shri Mataji that depicted snap-shots of Her untiring work - Her travel to various corners of the world on all the possible modes right from bullock cart to train to car to helicopter and giving Self-Realization. Shri Mataji observed the photo chart for a while.

Some of the Sahaja Yogis and Yoginis present  in the divine gathering had brought a few articles which they desired to offer to Shri Mataji. A diamond-studded ring with a big diamond in the centre and a bottle of exquisite perfume was presented on behalf of the French collective to Shri Mataji by Majid Golpur. Shri Mataji offered Her Right Hand and the ring was lovingly put on the small finger of Her right Hand. Later perfume too was applied to Shri Mataji’s Hand with a silver applicator.

Then a necklace was presented to Shri Mataji. Shri Mataji asked for it to be put on Herself and moved her Head forward to facilitate putting the necklace around Her Neck.

Various other gifts were then offered by the Laxmis (Sahaja Yoginis) in the gathering including a sari and Shri Mataji vibrated all the gifts by Her Own Hand.

Shri Mataji also vibrated the prasad of ‘channas’ with Her Own Hand.

Aarti was then performed to Shri Mataji.

Sir C.P. then wished everyone a very happy Diwali and though the gathering of Sahaja Yogis and Yoginis present at the ceremony was small, the wishes were undoubtedly meant for all the Sahaja Yogis and Yoginis of the world.

Eveyone was so enthralled by the Divine Presence that we did not realize that the function had lasted over half an hour

Jai Shri Matji !

In a stotra, The Divine Mother is described as

"Sarva-alankara bhooshita", means Adi Shakti is decorated with all type of decoration.

Similarly, in Shri Lakshmi Ashtakam also She was described as

"Naana-alankara bhoshite" ; different types of decorations are adoring Her.

We are thankful for this special description on Deepawali day.  Let us pray to lift us upto

Mahalakshmi tatva.

Jai Shri Mataji

On behalf of Northeastern Indin collectivity.
